Projects

Each project keeps its own exports, its own outlines and its own shape. Nothing is shared between them — which is why a new project starts empty rather than starting like the last one.

How its reports are filed

QS058 is divided into four zones. A job that is one whole area gets a single one. A job divided by alignment or junction says so here, and every screen uses that word.

What the outlines on its map are called

The JSON from Civil 3D draws the sections of the map. On QS058 they are roads; on another job they may be alignments or sections. This only changes the wording.

Add a project

The reference becomes its folder on the server and its address in the app, so it is lower-case letters, digits and dashes — qs058, p1153, p114. It cannot be changed afterwards.

Then: add people to it on People, upload its clash exports and its outline JSON on Data. Its dashboard appears as soon as the first export has been extracted.
